Now you're in Lockdown Bengals lead story. I'm Jake Lissko along with Joe Goodberry.

Today, the lead story, the Bengals have signed a free agent center who has no realistic

chance to make the team, and that's a college free agent from Purdue, Kirk Barron,

who was previously signed by

the Miami Dolphins before he was waived back in May. So this isn't a late cutdown. This is a guy

that has been a free agent since May and the Bengals just need players to take snaps in their

fourth preseason game where none of their starters are playing and a number of their

backups or guys that are fighting for back of the roster roster spots are heard as well.

So the starting offense isn't expected to play, but the starting five offensive linemen
