But as we sat down to record today's episode, the news finally came out.

Diana Rusini of ESPN reports that Vantes Burfect has been cut.

This is something that we have been expecting.

We sort of, every time we've talked about the Bengals' cap situation, we sort of included, there's

probably another $5.5 million here from the eventual move of Vantes BurBurfect, whether that's a trade if they found

that Paul Gunther in Oakland was willing to give up a six-seventh-round pick for him, or if

it was just the inevitable release. It sounds like trade talks that we talked about yesterday and

Ian Rappaport reported today didn't materialize into anything and so the Bengals just

released Burfic today and as as I tweeted he will have a $1.8 million dead cap hit and a $5.5 or so

million cap savings. A lot of fans are asking already, what are we going to do with the money, Cincinnati Bengals?

Are you going to sign Vinnie Curry?

Are you going to sign Danny Shelton?

Are you going to go out and sign Zach Brown?

Who's going to be the starting linebackers?

And to all of that, I would say that outside of having another $5.5 million to spend,

of which they might spend

all of it or they might spend like four million dollars of it nothing has really changed i i don't

know if they're in the zach brown sweepstakes or not at this point joe what do you think i haven't

heard anything on zach brown at all so it'll be be interesting to see where that picks up.

He's bounced around from a few teams while he's always played very well.
