I like your optimism. I'm very optimistic. I mean, this could be one of those slow news dump, you know, slow days and then a big news dump right at the end of the day. One of those classic D.C. Fridays. We're due for one of those. We're due for one of those. We had a colleague. This week was relatively, I will say, non-eventful, but we didn't have any of the news dumps at the end of the day. Trump is on vacation. So this is what we get. We get a lot of tweets. And we also got this week yesterday a press conference where he just wouldn't shut up. I mean, the man talked about a whole range of topics.

We'll get into all of that. And most importantly, we'll dissect the North Korea situation and figure out, should we be worried? Should we really be scared?

Or is this, are the dynamics of the North Korea conflict going to keep us safe?

Is there enough deterrence in the knowledge that the North Korean regime has that if they use their weapons, that their regime will fall, will get into what exactly Trump can do, what America should do

to make sure we don't get into a nuclear war.

The key word here is de-escalate, Peter, de-escalate, de-escalate, de-escalate.

Yeah, that feels like it.

So all of that, and of course also the fate of Mitch McConnell, Trump lashing out at Mitch McConnell yesterday

at that presser saying that if Mitch can't pass health care reform, if he can't do infrastructure,

if he can't do tax reform, these are all Republican priorities, he should leave.

He should, well, not leave directly, but, you know, ask him again, he said, we'll get into all of that.

A big, you know, not a huge news week, but one where we thought, you know, maybe the president

was going to take some time off, was going to relax a little bit, was going to maybe stay off

the Twitter. Maybe we thought his new chief of staff would keep things calm and bring some order to the
