Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio.

The weekend is here, ladies and gentlemen, and I predict there are going to be lots of parties,

lots of barbecues, and lots of family gatherings.

Of course, no one will know about them, no one will admit to them, and no one will be punished for having them.

But the bottom line is that they will still be technically against the lockdown rules, which aren't being lifted until Monday, which happens to be the 1st of June. There is a definite feeling of optimism in the air. There are more cars on the streets and more people out and about in this great weather.

Could it be that the government are steering us out of this crisis,

despite whatever you might be being told by the three studios of mainstream media

and their calamitous cohorts?

We'll be talking to Kate Hoey, who's always a voice of reason,

and Dr. Luke Evans' MP, who's going to guide us through

this lockdown lifting, because mark my words, there will be people doing things this weekend

that they're not meant to do until Monday. Does it matter? I'm not sure that it does. And as ever,

we want to hear from you. You are the eyes and ears of the Independent Republic. What are your

plans for this weekend? Are you going to wait until Monday before you do anything? And what are you seeing and hearing out there today?

Because what I can tell is that everyone I speak to says basically the lockdown is over.

Now I can't sit here and tell you that because that would be of course irresponsible.

And the very last thing that we are here in the Independent Republic of Mike Graham is irresponsible.

But there's no doubt at all that if you can do something on Monday, you can probably do it

on Sunday, can't you?
