Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on talk radio. So here we go again. According to

everyone in the know, we are back at Square One. So despite the lockdown in March, despite the tier

systems all over the country from one to three to four to five, despite the four week November

lockdown, despite the Christmas travel bans, despite the closure of all pubs, restaurants, hotels

and events venues, despite the closure of GP surgeries, despite the closure of all pubs, restaurants, hotels and events venues, despite the

closure of GP surgeries, despite the cancellation of elective surgeries, despite quarantine, despite

holiday shutdowns and despite the shutting of hairdressers, gyms and schools and nail bars and

everything else you can think of. A garden centres at one point, we are back at square one.

In other words, nothing has actually worked for a year.

So I know what we should do. Let's do it some more, only for longer.

And let's shut even more businesses so that even more people can't make any money whatsoever.

Let's make sure that the entire economy is crashed and burned into the ground.

In other words, we are completely and utterly, in the words of somebody that I can't remember

who said it first, stuked.

That's a word we are allowed to say on the radio other than the one I was thinking about.

Last night, Prime Minister Boris Johnson made yet another speech that he didn't want to make and announced a further

national lockdown, shutting schools until mid-February at least, and canceling everyone's plans

for doing anything at all ever. And the worst thing about it all was that it was done first by

Nicola Sturgeon and it was suggested first by Secure Starmer.
