Because nobody really thinks about the fact that when you go home and you've changed and you've had all these experiences from even just living in another city or traveling the world, you are a totally different person.

And you go back to a world that was the world that you lived in and everybody's doing often, it seems the exact same thing they were doing. And you suddenly can't relate.

Sometimes people make these snap judgments about who you are based on and maybe the people you run with, the sort of the field that you're in.

Sometimes they're right, a lot of times they're right. Sometimes they're dead wrong and that's exactly what happened with me and today's guest.

In fact, she's been in front of mine for a number of years and when she approached me about being on the podcast, I initially said no.

Truth is, I actually really did not understand what she was all about and that was my bad. And when I said no, instead of saying, okay, that's cool, she pushed back and in a good way.
