This is the Baseball Tonight podcast for Friday, May 5, 2023 and today will be better than

yesterday.

Working from the Shwing Studios just outside of Bristol, the Shwing Umbustra only working

from my home in Montana.

We had a conversation the other day, really it was me Taylor going on a rant where someone

was one of our listeners was questioning whether or not players should wear microphones

and how it's a major distraction to them.

And so I was happy to have a conversation with Patrick Wisdom of the Cubs, his water

microphone during the game about whether or not it's actually distraction.

You know, and I feel like my rant was backed up.

Oh yeah, this is a major vindication for you and actually it made me laugh when we

were doing it because we recorded this prior to this morning and I had forgotten about

your rant in that moment and it was the first thing you bring up with Patrick, that

point of players wearing microphones.

So I am excited for the listening audience here, especially all the haters out there.

Yeah, I had in preparation for that interview, I had watched some old videos of him wearing

the microphone and listening to what he had to say and watch him and his comfort level

and all that.

So I'm just going to let a player talk about wearing the microphone during the course of

the game this Sunday.
