I'm very excited that we're back doing this show.

You know, this is where we talk about what's happening up and down the ballot,

what's happening in state legislatures,

and other races around the country.

There is a lot on the ballot this year and there's also an enormous

amount happening in state legislatures. We had a lot of big wins in 2022 at the state legislative level and we are seeing results from that work.

In a few minutes, I'm going to be joined by Jesse Ulup Barry, who is the co-executive director

of the State Innovation Exchange exchange for an update on some of the

progressive work that's underway in key states.

You know, it really matters when Democrats take control of state legislatures. Good things can happen.

Later in the show, we're also going to be talking to Abe Rakoff, who's the managing director

of Run for something. That is an incredibly important organization. I'm a

huge fan of their work. Just turned six years old, the organization. Eve's going to

give us an update on their first round of 2023 endorsements and what to look out for this year.

There's a lot on the ballot.

Every year is an election year, there's no such thing as an off year.

Elections are important everywhere and we're also going to be talking to an old friend of mine

who's making his first appearance on Sirius XM progress as a state representative

J.D. Shelton from Iowa. He's going to fill us in on what's

happening in the Iowa State House and it's really ugly. So stay tuned. We've got a
