Colin Dickey is no stranger to dubious ghost tales. But when he went to Nevada to report at a brothel called the Mustang Ranch, he experienced something that to this day he can’t explain. I didn't go to the Mustang Ranch looking for ghosts, but I was sent there by Maxim Magazine.

So an editor at Maxim Magazine contacted me and said, do you want to go to this brothel outside of Reno

and report on its owner who had also just landed the Tesla gigafactory that's outside of Reno.

Like he, his business park is next to the Mustang Ranch.

And so this Maxim, I mean, you know, Maxim being Maxim, they're like, well, this is a cool

Ranch and I went there to write this piece. Me being me, I mean, I'm just, I guess I am just not

really glossy mag feature material because by the time I turned in the piece, they were like,

yeah, we don't want this. Why is there so many ghosts in this, Colin?

While I was there, just killing time with, you know, with the people that I was interviewing

for this Maxim Future, suddenly I started hearing all sorts of stories about ghosts and

the hauntings of the Mustang Ranch.

And it was odd for me because I'd been writing this book, Ghosts, and I'd been researching it.

And I'd seen a lot of, a lot of crap, a lot of kind of stuff that seemed pretty dubious, pretty, pretty thin.

But it was at all places, of all places at the Mustang Ranch, what I finally saw

something that to this day, I'm like, I don't know what that was. Maybe I saw something.
