Even a mean was surprised at how we glossed over the amazing story of Randy Erosirina of

the Tampa Bay rays who decided to play for the Mexican national team in the World Baseball

Classic, even though he is Cuban.

And all I said about it was that his story after defecting from Cuba started in Mexico.

And then he ends up being on the Mexican team as let's be honest, a total ringer with

just ridiculous that he would even be playing for the Mexican team.

And the Mexican team was only that good because he kept robbing home runs and hitting

home runs and was totally ridiculous.

That's what a ringer does, Dan.

Yes, that's exactly what a ringer does.

But which are the parts of the story?

I mean that you were most offended by us just sort of skipping past and glossing over

because we're used to defections like Elduke where he ends up for seven days on some

small island eating raw snails and throwing up in the bushes because he's trying to get

to this country.
