Hello, everybody, welcome to the Red Men TV and my match reactions after two pre-season games at Amherfield tonight, Liverpool took on two different athletic club sides. We named two completely different 11s, completely different squads, more or less. Only one lad remained from the first game to the second game

one um yeah liverpool uh very much named a mix of match first side it's fair to say um a couple

of senior lads dotted in with some real real youngsters only

one senior centre back fitting available and so on the slots tonight which is quite telling and

kind of speaks as to where we're at in terms of the transfer situation as well obviously we're all sort

of very very very excited about excited beyond belief about Alexander Isak and the possibilities

and lie there, but I don't think we can take away off the board when it comes to centre half.

And tonight's first 11 was evident of that.

Andy Robertson, captain, inside Trey Nione, neither of whom are Fech and I centreback.

So, yeah, but the first game, the show was stolen by Vio and Gomorow.

It lit up the first half in particular, much in the same way he's done the entirety of preseason thus far.

Goal and assist and a lovely goal as well at that.

It takes it beautifully.

So really, really impressive once again.

And I've been cautious when it comes to overhyping and getting carried away when it comes to Rio.

But again, I must admit with every single bit of evidence that we see of him playing football,

it's hard not to get a little bit carried away and start to think that he's ready,

at least to be the understudy to Kodi Gapö.

And I think tonight and this evening's work was yet more of a body of work to suggest that maybe he is. It's a lot of minutes to replace when it comes to Diaz and a lot of minutes to sort of immediately put on me and go and mower's toes. But my word is his talent, really, really special. Strikes fear into defenders every time he gets the ball. So yeah, really impressed for him once again. Lovely goal as well to boot. Darwin Nunes on the score sheet, too, which is always nice. Lovely goal for Harvey Elliott as well. And I'm not going to sit here, stand there and say that he was definitely saying goodbye to Anfield and to the cop afterwards, but he's definitely seemed emotional. So we'll wait and see how that pans out. But, yeah, nice finish for Harvey as well.

And, yeah, Liverpool, like say, good value for that first win.
