Yesterday, Rex Hewerman, known as the suspect, arrested suspect in the Long Island

serial killer case, had a court appearance.

And it seems to me that the spotlight was stolen from Rex Ewerman, and it was put on to his wife,

Esa Ellorup, and her attorney, Robert Macedonio.

And why do I say that?

Well, first of all, she looks a lot different than she did when he was first arrested.

Is this a public relations ploy by her attorney?

But the biggest thing that I find a little bit, more than a little bit strange,

is that she signed a documentary deal with a company to follow her around and shoot a documentary.

The company is called Peacock.

So I have some serious problems with this.

You know, first of all, New York State has a law called the Son of Sam law.

However, that only applies to the person charged.

And anyone that is arrested and charged with a crime like this cannot, by the law,

cannot benefit from their crime

through a book deal or anything like that.

But apparently it does not apply to the family.

But I still find this a little unsettling.

Like, just a few weeks ago, she was accused of being a suspect in this case by attorney John Ray.
