Summary

For this full moon’s meditation, I’m offering an exploratory somatic movement practice that I’ve been calling, Living Your Best Life. I like this name because I feel that this practice helps me connect to my “best-ness” (and, of course, this is a very Leo idea!) not in a hierarchical, comparative way, but in an essential, soulful way. The techniques I’m offering are bonding practices to help ground our beings into stable attachments with Earth, sensing practices to come into the naturally erotic curiosity in our skin, pushing and weight balance practices to help us find playful connection with points of contact, and finally, sensory awareness practices that help open loving and receptive informational pathways. And this is a time in my life when I've been really aware of the ways that I get

shut down internally in response to fear and insecurity, often experiences that are coming in from the outside.

1:18.8

So there are plenty of things that any of us can be scared of in the world and so much of what we

experience in our lives is unchosen so we are born into these bodies we get

1:30.4

the conditions that we get and pretty much everything is outside the realm of

our conscious control and it can be really easy I don't know if you felt this I certainly

1:41.2

have felt this a lot in my life, really easy to shut down in some

1:46.6

kind of doubt or in response to what feel like restrictions or rules or impositions or oppressions.

1:56.8

And while those circumstances might not change,

2:09.2

we can at least work with our internal state. And working with the internal state can do a lot for the ways that we might perceive opportunity

within the conditions that we have for the ways that we might be able to

2:19.5

relate with ourselves and with others and with our circumstances and as our internal state shifts

2:28.0

then we might find that we have a greater sense of ease with the external conditions,

or at least the external conditions
