Hey, welcome back. I really hope that you are doing well, and I'm prayerful that today's topic will be a benefit to you. I'm sure I've said this a hundred times,

but I'm genuinely super excited about the idea that I want to share with you today. This concept

of living with purpose. It's not new. We've talked about it in past episodes, and you know that

leaning into activity is important. But I don't think I have ever before as clearly identified

mission-oriented intentional living as the greatest tool at our disposal to fight the temptations

of the devil. So I'm asking you today to go with me on a little journey through the scriptures

where we look at the way that the devil seeks to tempt us, the tools that are in his box,

how consistently he's used those same three things since the very beginning of time, we will

talk briefly about how Jesus succeeded in the face of those temptations,

whereas Adam in the very beginning did not. But I need to move you past that to something else.

In Luke chapter 4, after Jesus faced down Satan, and the devil fled from him. It is what Jesus did next that has created the

greatest clarity for me on building a strategy for righteousness this year. And in a way that is

certainly out of character for me, I'm going to give you the punchline. Let the proverbial cat out of the

bag at the very beginning of today's episode.

You can know how the devil is working in your life.

You can point at that thing and say, that's the devil.
