of our services. But I'd like to start with something funny, and I heard about this man. He was out

walking through the woods with his friend when they suddenly encountered a huge grizzly bear about

20 yards in front of them. They both froze in their tracks. As the bear intently stared

them down, they contemplated what they should do. The man finally whispered to his friend,

I think we should run. His friend said, are you kidding? We can't outrun a grizzly bear. The man said, I know that.

I don't have to outrun him. I just have to outrun you. Say it like you mean it. This is my Bible.

I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I can do what it says I can do. Today I will

be taught the word of God.

I boldly confess, my mind is alert, my heart is receptive, I will never be the same.

I want to talk to you today about living unoffended.

We all have opportunities to get upset and be offended.

A co-worker is rude or someone cut you off in traffic. A friend leaves you out. It's easy to get

sour, try to pay people back, hold a grudge. We don't realize that's poisoning our life.

That offense is like a toxin. It's not affecting the other person. It's souring our joy. And the Apostle Paul had all kinds of opportunities to be

offended. People lied about him. He was misunderstood and not accepted by religious leaders.
