Hey, this is Beth. What we live for at Living Proof is to serve people the word of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 412 that tells us that the word is alive and active.

First Peter, Chapter 2, between 4 and 8.

So I want you to look at those verses with me as I read them aloud to you as

you come to him the living stone rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him. You also like living stones are

being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood. Glory to God, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God

through Jesus Christ.

For in scripture it says, see I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone,

and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.

Now to you who believe the stone is precious, but to those who do not believe the

stone the builders rejected has become the capstone. And a stone that causes

men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.

They stumble because they disobey the message, which is also what they were destined for.

I want to pull back to aid, it says, a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall

I want you to look up at the very beginning of our reading as we are told and we come to the one who is the living stone and he is the one that the

church is built upon. I find it very interesting that you see Peter was not confused

when Christ came to him and said you are the little rock,

you are the chip off the old block.

And I want you to know that upon everything you believed in me, it is upon the big rock, I will build my church,

and that's the importance of that original language, is to understand that what is confusing

to us in our English language is we use the same words, he said,
