Not long ago, I was in the Times Square area.

I had to kill some time before a show.

And so I found a coffee shop, like a cute independent coffee shop walked in.

Love.

The day was on the warmer side, just to be clear.

And I was the only person in there.

And I asked the lovely barista who was there, who was, I'm going to guess 20 years old.

Okay. Got it. Like genuinely. Noted. And like for a latte and she's like hot or cold. And I said hot. And she looked at me like, oh, okay, is a problem? Like, is it too hot back there for you to make a hot latte?

Do you want to make a cold one instead?

Like, I don't, I'll change my order if it makes you more comfortable. Please take my money and don't be mad at me. And then I realized, I was like, no, you're going to have to make it hot anyway. That's how iced coffee is made. Unless you have cold brew.
