Romans chapter 12.

There was a little boy, he wasn't feeling well,

and his mom took him to the doctor and the nurse was there

and she was going to check his heart.

And she said, now, son, a little Billy, I'm going to check your heart.

We'll see if Barney's in there.

And the little boy looked at her and discussed and said,

I have Jesus in my heart.

Barney's on my underwear.

Is Jesus in your heart?

You know, it's funny, there's some people that say, you shouldn't say Jesus accepting Jesus into your heart.

And there's a, I think a theological reason why, and often I've found some of the more

disgruntled angry theologians say that kind of stuff. But I think that actually the phrase is

something that Christians have. Paul even prayed in Ephesians 317 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

So Paul said that.

It's in the Bible.

Now, I understand why these grouchy theologians are yelling at people about that.

Don't ask Jesus in your heart.

That's dumb.

Well, the reason they say that is because if a person just simply asks Jesus in their heart,

are they really doing what the gospel is or understanding the gospel?
