But today, it is an unusual blessing for us to have for our podcast guest, Father Mike Schmitz, who just flew in from Minnesota.

And you probably know who he is, but let me just explain to those of you who live in a cave that Father Mike Schmitz is 46.

He was ordained back in 2004 in Duluth by Bishop Dennis Schnuer.

He's also the Newman Center chaplain at the University of Minnesota and director of youth and young adult ministries in the diocese of Duluth.

You graduated from St. John University as well as St. Paul's Seminary, raised in a Catholic family, but I read in your bio that you were largely indifferent about the faith until you had this experience of confession at 15.

One of the questions that I want to ask you. Your YouTube videos have been viewed over 25 million times. You're right up there with Bishop Robert Barron, another dear friend.

Over a hundred million downloads of your Bible in a year podcast reached number one status in the

nation back in January, not just for Christian podcasts or, you know, apps and, but nationwide,

secular as well.
