Romans chapter three today.

Romans, sixth book in the New Testament, and it talks about guilt.

It opens by saying the world is guilty before God.

What it ends up talking about, as much as anything, it ends up talking about the fact that everything revolves around the Jew, which is a tough

concept for us Gentiles to get our mind wrapped around.

The church has mistakenly placed itself in first position in world history, overlooking the

fact that God intended the Jew for the salvation of the world.

The church is not going to save the world, the Jew is.

So Romans starts out talking about the reasons for Gentile guilt and the results of Gentile guilt,

that being a total reprobate mind, that is a mind that is totally disapproved by God.

And then, in chapter 2 of Romans, once that guilt has been established in the Gentile world,

it goes to the Jew.

And of course, the Jew was supposed to bring God's enlightenment to the world and failed.

And there are two kinds of Jews.

There is the self-righteous and the religious.

Neither self-righteousness nor religiosity is going to save you.

And so Paul lays out those ideas in Romans chapter 2.

Well, in Romans chapter 3, Paul goes into the fact that the Jews didn't really believe God's word, even though they said they did.
