Joyce with today's teaching. Somebody said to me just two days ago. To me you are the picture of a woman at rest. Can you tell me how you got there? How long did it take? What did it take?

And I said I do have a lot of rest. How long did it take? What did it take?

And I said, I do have a lot of rest in my life, and if you knew what a turmoil I used to live in and how frustrated I was, even for many years in ministry,

and most all of it came from trying to do what only God could do. From hearing the word all the time, but not really totally stepping out on it and believing

that God really would do what he said he would do.

You know, there's a difference in trying to believe and really believing.

And I think we have to go through the trying stage to get to the really believing.

There's one thing that Bible tells us to strive at, well there may be more than one,

but this one it says in Hebrews 4, strive and labor to live in the rest of God.

And you'll find out why a little bit later tonight.

Rest is actually warfare.

Do you know that?

The more peaceful you can stay the more it undoes the devil. The rest of God is spiritual warfare. You

rest he does your fighting. So I love to stay in the rest of God.

And that can only happen by really believing the word of God.

God, I'll do whatever you ask me to do, and I know you'll give me the power to do it.

And I know that you will do everything else that needs to be done.
