Hey moms. Welcome to this episode of the Dorenda Wilson podcast. I'm Durenda, wife to one,

mom to eight, Nana to 12, and 30-year veteran homeschooling mom. I'm also the author of four

a podcast episode. It's been a few months. As many of you know,

I have since then had a cancer diagnosis, a serious cancer diagnosis. And I have been spending

a lot of time just trying to recover from surgery and different things that have gone on. So I thought I would

get on here and just sort of update you on what's going on. And then also just really wanted

to bring a word of encouragement. My husband encouraged me that I should speak to all of you in the midst of the unknown because

I don't know where this is going. I don't have any idea. And it's easier sometimes to get past

it all and have hindsight and be able to put the puzzle pieces together but that's not where

i'm at right now i am in the midst of the unknown i don't know where this is going and he said

speak to the moms in the midst of your suffering in the midst of your affliction um and so that's what

i'm doing i'm taking his advice his advice and I think he's right.

But so what I want to do is, first of all, just update you a little bit.

I wasn't super specific about all the details.

And I won't obviously share all the details here.

But a couple things that I wanted to clarify is that when I went in to the hospital, I was

very sick and very much in pain. It sort of had come on fairly recently. Anyway, I had a colonoscopy,

had some testing done, and they informed me that I had a blockage in my lower intestines,

in my colon so that there was just the tiniest little opening that food was getting through.
