Summary

Discover how God's provocative words about our future in Him are actually invitations to conversation that spring clean our thinking. Graham explores the powerful paradox of living fully in the present while engaged with who we're becoming, creating an overlap where our identity takes shape and the enemy becomes utterly confused.

**Key Scriptures:**

+ Romans 6:6. "Knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him..."

+ 2 Corinthians 5:17. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation..."

+ Ephesians 2:6. "And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus..."

What if maturing in Christ doesn't mean leaving childlike faith behind?

Hello friends, welcome back to the Brilliant Perspectives podcast.

This week, Graham reveals how God relates to us both as his beloved children and as his mature sons and daughters,

0:18.0

and how understanding both identities transforms how we experience his

0:22.7

presence and promises. When we come to him as children, we receive comfort, provision, and the

0:29.6

assurance of his love. When we approach him as mature sons and daughters, we step into partnership

0:35.6

with his purposes and receive revelation about who we're

0:39.5

becoming. Both are vital, both are true, and both are available to us right now. This creates the

0:47.1

fullness of relationship our father has always desired with us. Let's jump in with Graham.

I want to talk to you this morning about entering into a dialogue with God because of your destiny.

1:05.3

You do know that God is provocative, right? He says things to provoke our curiosity. He says things to provoke our mindset.

1:16.1

Some of the things he says make us a little bit annoyed. Have you noticed that God is not

1:21.0

afraid to make you annoyed? He says things provocatively because he has to challenge a mindset that's actually killing us.

1:31.6

He says things provocatively to shock us out of where we are and make us think, man, I need to move

1:39.1

out of this place. He says things to us that make us go, what? What on earth does that mean? And you know that when God says something that's not immediately clear to us, it's deliberate. I don't know what that means. I know. Well, what does it mean? What do you think it means? I don't really know. That's why I'm asking you.

2:04.2

Well, why don't we talk about it? So when he says something that you don't understand, it's an invitation

2:09.7

to a chat. Go put the kettle on. Make him a coffee. He likes it black. One sugar. It's making him a coffee. Make him a coffee. He likes it black. One sugar. Make him a coffee. Make him a cup of tea. Sit down. It's an

2:24.3

invitation to a conversation. And when God begins to speak to you about your destiny, there are some

2:31.3

things about your destiny that you will not understand right here, right now,

2:36.8

because our space here and now is cluttered with stuff that shouldn't be there.

2:42.9

So when you bring destiny into the present, it's like, where does that fit in with this?

2:49.0

Well, it doesn't fit in, dummy. I say that in the sweetest possible
