Welcome to our Thursday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

This week, I began a brand new series teaching on living in the balance of grace and faith.

You know, this is one of the foundational things that God showed me many years ago.

I think it's been about 30 or 40 years ago when I wrote this book.

And this has just been one of the major things that God has used in my life.

And as I've said, a lot this week.

Most people are either in the faith camp or in the grace camp, but very seldom do you ever combine these things.

And yet, grace and faith are like sodium and chloride.

They're both poisonous by themselves, but if you mix them together, it makes salt, and you can't live without it.

Did you know, grace by itself leads to people just believing that, well, it's all up to God.

I have nothing to do with it. It's just the grace of God.

And that'll lead into an extreme sovereignty of God where you believe that God is just in control and you have nothing to do.

And it leads to laziness, lethargy.

You don't find people that have the attitude listed in Matthew chapter 11, where it says, since the days of John,

the Baptist, the kingdom of heaven is preached and it suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

You don't get people with a violent attitude and this attitude in the name of Jesus, I'm going to do things because it just leads to lethargy.

It's just all the grace of God. That's wrong.
