You've got to come to the end of yourself yourself and that's the purpose that God gave the law

was to expose how ungodly we were to bring us to the end of our self.

The law is condemning, the law is harsh, and the purpose of it was to bring you to the end of yourself,

because only when you come to the end of yourself do you find the beginning of God?

And see, if you haven't understood the things that I'm talking about that God by grace,

he commended his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners he died for us.

He didn't see something in you that just was so wonderful he had to have you.

He saw us and because of his great love. Matter of fact it it says that in Ephesians chapter 2,

and in one of the translations,

I think it's the amplified Bible, it says,

because of his love and in order to satisfy his intense love, he sent his son and died for us.

The Lord was motivated and loved us, not because we are lovely, but because God is so much love.

And see this is what this grace and faith has taught me

is that God's love for me is not tied to any worth or any value in my life.

And there's probably some people in this auditor and listening to me think, well, boy, this is depressing me.

It's discouraging me.

You're making me think I'm, what is this doing to my self-worth?
