How would you pray for people 2,000 years in the future who would be reading your prayer?

Think about that for a minute.

The wording might vary, but if you're typical, here is the typical

way that Christians pray today. It would be something like, oh God, we ask you to pour out your power on that generation.

Oh God, just move, oh God, sin revival, oh God, we ask for a new thing.

It would all be some form of pleading with God to do a new thing to move

to do something I want you as we go through this to look at the way that Paul approaches this.

The only thing God, Paul, asked God to do is to give them a revelation of what you've already done.

He didn't ask God to do anything new.

He just said, open up their eyes to what you've already done.

He was praying for revelation of what you already had.

If a person comes and says, would you please pray that God had pour out his love in my life?

No, I won't do it because God's already poured out his love through Jesus.

He sent the Holy Spirit and the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans chapter 5.

There is no problem with God's love.

God loves every one of us infinitely more than any of us have ever understood.

You don't need God to pour out his love.
