Today we learn how to remain faithful to God as we listen to part 2 of living

Godly in an ungodly age.

How do you and I live a godly life in the midst of a society that is not godly

in a generation that's not godly and listen in a society that's drifting

further and further and further away from the principles of the Word of God?

What's the answer to being godly in a godless age?

Well, I want you to turn to a little book in the New Testament, Titus,

a little background. Paul wrote to Titus,

giving him some admittions about the church in Crete. He sent him to a very

difficult place to pass the church. And when you see the description of Crete here,

you say, well, that sounds exactly like the society in which we live.

And so he gave him some very strong warnings.

What is the key to living a godly life? Well, let's go back to this

ninth verse and listen to what he says.

He's told him what to do. He's getting ready to say, now look at the society

you're in. Here's what he says. Ninth verse, holding fast

the faithful Word, which is an accordance

with the teaching so that he'll be able both to exhort and sound doctrine

and to refute those who contradict. What do you mean, whole fast?

Whole fast means to grip it tight. Hold it close.

Apply it to your life. Don't allow it to drift away.
