but instead about the God who was with Joseph, even in the darkest of circumstances.

As you look at your own circumstances through the eyes of faith, do you recognize God's

presence?

Oh, that we could learn to live in the presence of God.

Water is life. I think in our part of the world, there's a tendency to forget that,

at least until the drought comes. But in ancient civilization, the well was everything.

That's why when you study especially these opening books of the Bible,

you see these nomadic people moving from place to place and living in desert lands,

what's the first thing they do?

They dig a well.

Where do they stay?

They stay where the well is.

They stay where the water is. And there is in that physical reality, a wonderful spiritual truth that we come to today in Genesis 49 and verse number

22. In our last study, we talked about Joseph's fruitfulness. But remember, fruit is the product.

Something has to produce that. Something has to be the cause of that. Our shortcut society, our fast mentality wants to run to the end of the thing.

But please don't miss the open secret of the blessing of God in Joseph's life.

Look again at the verse, Genesis 49, verse number 22.

Joseph is a fruitful bow.

And we stop and say, oh, yes, Lord, make me fruitful.
