Over the years, John and I have sought to defend the gospel

that we are saved by Jesus Christ through faith in Him alone.

And a lot of times we get criticized for that.

And people will raise the objection and they'll say,

guys, surely it's not that easy.

It has to be about more than just faith in Jesus.

And our response to that, one of our responses anyway,

is who said faith is easy?

Walking by faith and not sight as human beings is a difficult thing.

John and I are going to talk about that today.

We're going to refer to the scriptures.

We're also going to talk a little bit about some of the recent debates

over justification and obedience and good works and all that stuff and how we so desperately want to be

able to hold on to something or point to something that we are doing. And so we struggle to think

about these things well. We hope that you're encouraged in the Lord Jesus today and that you
