In the contentious days in which we live, it's tempting to pull away from social settings and isolate ourselves from exposure.

We'd prefer to hang out with people that agree with our convictions rather than rub shoulders with the unredeemed.

Well today on Insight for Living, Chuck Windahl is teaching from Titus Chapter 3.

In this passage, Paul imparts timeless wisdom to his protégé Titus.

He talks about becoming a good citizen and showing

consideration to all people. It's an especially relevant theme in today's world.

I want to read for you from Titus Chapter 3 if you happen to have a Bible handy

you are welcome to turn to the first eight verses of Titus 3.

and I'd like you to place it over at Matthew Chapter 5 to have that ready a little later but for now let me read

for you these first eight verses from Titus that have to do with our living our lives before a watching world.

Titus 3.1.

Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be

rules to be obedient to be ready for every good deed

to malign no one

to be peaceable gentle showing every consideration for all men.

For we also once were foolish ourselves,

disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy,

hateful, hating one another.

But when the kindness of God, our Savior,

and his love for mankind appeared,
