Hey, what's up, Alex here. When I was in fifth grade, I got hit by a car. I was riding my bike to school.

And this college kid was coming in his yellow Jeep with a bull bar on the front. And it was early in the

morning, so the sun was in his eyes right after sunrise. And he turned into me as I was crossing

the street and knocked me a couple of feet. And I blacked out. My ankle was sprained.

And the EMTs, they show up with the ambulance and they called my dad, call my mom.

My mom was, I think, had a Bible study or something.

And then my dad was kneeling by his bedside praying like he did every morning.

So he let the phone just ring and ring and ring.

And so many times that they just

put me in the ambulance. And right when they were putting me in, my dad showed up in his pajamas. And I have

just this vivid memory of all this happening. Just I remember going to the ER. My principal showed up.

And I thought I was dreaming that, but he actually didn't show up. I went to a small school and so it was nice of him to do that.

And I even remember the college kids' parents going for a morning run and stopping by our

house weeks later on the run to apologize for their son hitting me.

And I remember asking my parents, why didn't you sue them?

I don't know how I knew about suing in fifth grade, but I was parents why didn't you sue them I don't know how I knew about

suing in fifth grade but I was why didn't you sue them and my dad just told him like that's just

not the way of the kingdom you know he made a mistake he's a college kid and I was mags I wanted a new

bike you know but if I was in a hurry that day because my parents could have dropped me off.

Many times on the way to school,

they did drop me off.

It was a faster way to get to school,
