I want to talk to you a little bit about living a prophetic lifestyle, moving from moving

into a culture of supernatural lifestyle. Would you turn to 1 Kings 17?

1 Kings 17, and we're going to start right there. Most of you will know this story fairly well.

Elijah the Tishbite was a settler of Gilad, and he said to Ahab, as the Lord the God of Israel lives,

whom I stand, surely there shall be no due or reign these years except by my word.

The word of Lord came to him saying, go away and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook

sheriff which is east of the Jordan. It shall be that you shall drink of the brook which I have command the ravens to provide for you there.

So he went and did according to the word which the Lord, I'm sorry, he did according to the word of the Lord,

for he went and lived in the brook sheriff which is east of the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening.

And he would drink from the brook and it happened after a while that the brook tried up and there was no more rain in the land.

I want to just start out by saying, did you notice that Elijah was a settler?

And how many of you understand that the day of the of ministering from church to church and not eating your own fruit is over?

The day of living outside of community, the day of ministering to the church instead of being a part of the church is over.

We were driving home from actually from the Bay Area, it was from Vacaville this is probably 10 years ago.

We had just been to a meeting with Graham Cook, Bill Johnson and I.

And Bill was being his quiet self and then kind of out of the blue he said, you know how Jesus said that a prophet has honor except for in his hometown?

I said yeah, he goes, you know I actually think it's supposed to be like that.

He said I think everybody's supposed to have a place where they're just them.

Where you take off the garbage, you make your bed, wash your clothes and you just live as a human being and everybody knows your stuff.

And I think there's something about community.

How many of you know that we're moving from conference to community?

That the church wasn't born in a conference or a convention, it was born in a covenant.
