In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully

inspire you in your

faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's Word and that heightens your awareness of

his very real presence in your life. Well, I just want to think about it for a minute here.

Maybe this applies to you. Those who were born in the 1960s or earlier are often most surprised by where we find ourselves today.

You know, there was a time when you could leave your front door unlocked at night,

leave your bike out in the yard without ever worrying about crime or theft.

There was a time when church attendance was at an all-time high.

There was a time when you'd be in public school and the principal would read

scripture over the intercom. Can you even imagine it? Where we would pray in our public school classrooms?

Well, we're not in those days anymore. And I just read the other day from Ecclesiastes. The author said

in Ecclesiastes, it's not wise to wish for the good old days. It seems we live in a modern-day Babylonian culture,

but we're not the first to do so, right? Daniel lived and served in Babylon, and he made a huge

impact on the culture. Most times people are impacted by the culture. It's a rare find to find someone

who lives their convictions so deeply. They impact the culture. And yet that is
