We will start there with Arsenal, that is the community shield and we've got Jim in,

which is good, good, good to have. On the top of a new season and Jim, my first sort of note on

this is, I feel as though of all the sides, over the some other ones who felt as though

are acting with the greatest sense of purpose and certainty. I've got Arsenal 1, Newcastle 2,

and everyone else, a bit of a wreck for numbers 3 down to 7 or 8, and you know, it looks like Arsenal

has built on what they've recruited at last January in Trussard and Georgia, you know, it feels as though

it's all very rational and very calm. Well Neil, I don't actually know

how we managed to do the deals that we did. I mean, when we were talking earlier in the closed

season and we were doing the shows around, if it was my team, what would we do? I even said I

didn't think Arsenal would get a deck on rice, and so the fact that we did suggests that there was

a long-term plan to get the player, that his people were talking to our people for a long,

long time, and I think when deals are done with that magnitude and with that money involved,

fair play to West Ham, they stood their ground and, you know, put in place the demands that they

wanted, but Arsenal kept on coming back to the table, chipping away, chipping away, chipping away,

and whether or not the other players that they will link with a player like Casido were just

smoke screens that ultimately they were always after that one guy. I mean, I'm highly delighted,

it means the best bit of business Arsenal have done in probably 20 years. I mean, we look
