Takumi Minamino getting the low down on his time at Southampton so far, then assessing what that might mean for his long-term Liverpool future.

I'm delighted to say that joining me first of all is Hampshire Lives Southampton, reporter Tom Leach,

to talk us through Minamino's time

under Ralph Harson-Hooker so far.

Tom, thanks for joining me.

How impressed have you been with Minamino overall so far?

I think we've been a mixed up through his first six games with Southampton.

He kind of landed with a bang with that goal against Newcastle, which he took really well.

And he followed it up a week later with that goal against Chelsea.

In terms of the quality of his performances, you know, before me to me know joined us, we were warned about some things about him and told to expect great things about him in other areas of his game and, you know, we expect him to be perhaps a little bit

too keen in the press maybe so that he makes mistakes at times we expect him to be

brilliant on the ball really good on the ball.

I think some things have rang true,

other things maybe not as true.

His first game in Newcastle he was really good,

drifting between the lines and picking up the ball

and linking a play.

I guess the ball he's been really good as well. It's just that he's gone quiet for big moments really,

at key moments in games.
