They've gone back on a lot of what their model was meant to be.

Their model was meant to be, we have a head coach and we do all this and all this. I think it's very significant to Lanzo's the manager. It sounds to me like he's going to have a lot more control than the last three or four Chelsea head coaches had. So I think he'll be on the phone. He'll be picking the players. He's saying who's staying. He's going to be saying who's going. and that is a major shift for Chelsea

who are about 16 different people and different

roles and it feels a lot more clear for them it's just putting a lot on on zabbi anzo and they

you know he did something he did amazing with levykusen and they've they've just they've seen that as justification to go right we're

handing the keys over to him it's to be fair it's not too dissimilar to Arsenal they were

Michael Artetta obviously Alonzo's got a better track record on Artetta because Artetta hadn't done it

before but they basically the day Artetta walked into Arsenal he was in charge of so you know

he got rid of all this other

nonsense around and went listen you're the man to rebuild us and it looks like Chelsea well

but who the actual last manager was that they had and I know there's because even under

And he was very, he was giving a lot of the credit

behind the scenes.

And there was a couple of the people that they had

who were very, very significant in the running of Chelsea.

But they still had, the manager was still the figurehead

of the football club.

So, yeah, I wonder whether this,

Chloe is a bit like, I don't know, there's not a lot of people out there who wanted the head coach job and they've kind of had to change. And I know Liverpool did this with Brendan Rogers. They wanted him to be the head coach and they wanted a director of football and he said, I don't work like that. They went, all right, well, we'll leave you. and then kind of had no choice but to come back to him. So I wonder whether this is a bit of that, like, which I don't know whether this is a good thing or not, is like if Chelsea are bailing on their strategy, it could be a way forward, but it could also just be an example of, well, shit. They've gone for the highest profile person they could get, and the only way they could get a high profile someone was to make a manager, not head coach.

Yeah, but I don't think the other way in which they were doing it is the correct way either.
