Welcome into the latest edition of ESPNFC. I'm Dan Thomas, joining the studio today by

Ali Murano, Craig Burley and are somewhat relieved, Stevie Nicoll, to say the least, as we kick

things off from the Champions League, PSG taking on at Liverpool. PSG were exceptional

throughout this game, but somehow they failed to get the goal, Alison Man of the match by a

million miles for Liverpool who just really didn't show up.

They were lucky as well, not only was Alison brilliant, but you take a look at Canate's challenge halfway through the first half.

Everyone looks at that and thinks it should have been a red card.

It wasn't given, and a late late goal by Harvey Elliott means that Liverpool take a one-nill advantage

going to that second leg at Anfield next week. Stephen? I need to lie down. I'm exhausted.

I haven't watched that. It was exhausting watching it with you. From the start to the finish,

Liverpool, other than the goal, were completely and totally outplayed.

I thought to begin with, the Liverpool were just going to sit tight and try and counter,

just to play themselves into the game.

But the longer the game went on, PSG just forced them back. And the other thing that was surprising

to me was sometimes when you get so many men behind the ball, you forget to close the ball
