Hello and welcome to another episode of the Liverpool.com podcast from Blood Red. I'm James Martin your

host for the week and I'm joined by Math Addison and Ben Boxack. Things are

looking pretty good for Liverpool in the hearing now on Bigwood at the

weekend and Chelsea dropping points but today we're going to be talking a little bit

more long-term specifically it's contracts on the agenda. Matt there were a lot of

renewals in the summer but six players still have deals

expiring in 2023 or sooner I think we're probably all agreed that

Mohammed Sala is the most alarming name on that list are you starting to get

twitchie yet?

Not yet, I don't think. I still think there's a lot of reasons why it probably hasn't happened yet.

I still, I'm fairly confident that it will happen at some point.

I think there's a number of different things that sort of make me think that.

The biggest one to be honest is just that I think he's at the best possible place to succeed

and be what he wants to be within football obviously by the time people

are listening to this they'll know the outcome of the Balondor for this year whether he wins that or not

I think that's a big big ambition for him moving

forwards and I think that's something that is in the best possible position to

to go on and win that in future regardless of whether he's done it this year or not I think he's in the

perfect place to sort of win trophies to be challenging consistently at the top end of the

Champions League I just think there's there's nowhere better for him to be and I think he knows that and I think his his representatives know that. I think that's obviously quite a big reason as to why Liverpool haven't had to tie him down just yet.
