Liverpool dot-com editor Matt Addison and today we're going to be continuing our series of

deep dives into Liverpool's

midfield as ahead of the club's rebuild in that department this summer. So far we've looked at Curtis Jones,

Tiago and Harvey Elliot. Today our focus is going to be on Fabinio. We're live on Twitter

So Matt and Yagenclop has unusually been public about for being your struggles this

season he's acknowledged that he's not been in his best form why do you think he's found it so difficult this season to hit the heights we've been used to?

Yeah, it's a really hard one to explain, isn't it?

I think we've seen him improve in recent times. We've seen the system change definitely benefits him, but there's no doubt about it before that. He just looked absolutely shattered. I think it's hard to look past the fatigue thing. I think probably

confidence comes into it as well if you start on a bit of a downward spiral and it can be hard to get

out of that and try and move beyond it but I don't know it's one of the big big questions that we've got this season.

I kind of over the last few weeks become convinced that he's turned a bit of a corner but I'm still not 100% on that because obviously we weren't expecting

The vast majority of this season to be as poor as as what has for him. So the honest answer is I have

absolutely no idea quite how much he dropped off a cliff was staggering but I think what

we've seen over the last few weeks is if you can put you know a few players obviously Trent has helped him I think Curtis Jones has massively helped him

If you can put some legs around and he's still obviously a very very good quality player. I don't expect you know

Liverpool to go out and replace him necessarily this summer as we'll come to.

But yeah it's it's a really interesting one in terms of what went wrong for him earlier in the campaign.

Obviously he wasn't the only one that was poor, he wasn't the only one that struggled, but I think he was probably the one that you'd say was,

you know, that the most drop off from the previous season and you know I'm sure we'll go into
