Summary

Kate, Luke and Jim are here to ask; do the champions always get a corridor of applause from everyone once they’ve won the league? Frankly we can’t remember, but then there’s a lot of stuff we’ve forgotten about since the world stopped making sense, like that Eric Dier crowd thing.

On the various pitches Liverpool walked through their corridor and all over Brighton, James Tarkowski got away with one against West Ham and Man City put five past a Newcastle team who seemed to be having out of body experiences where they were on a beach rather than at the Etihad.

Elsewhere we examine the MLS Fyre Festival controversy, the sudden introduction of a new type of card in La Liga and the Bezification of in game crowd noise.
