We now know Liverpool will face Galatasarai.

Galatasarai, who you put down as being the 11th best team remaining in at this stage,

obviously around the 16.

First off, before we move on to the reasons as to what's to come next and maybe why,

explain why, as it stood, they were 11th in your ranking.

I think part of it was potentially the part that they have to go through,

given, as we know now, they have to go through Liverpool, and it only gets harder.

But at the same time, I think some of it was influenced by how they played against Juventus,

where they looked

very good in the first leg and then looked very shaky in the second and nearly threw away,

I mean, did throw away a three-go lead despite having a man advantage.

And there's obviously, I think, as we've often seen with Galatasso teams in the past in the

Champions League, they play with a lot of intensity, but it always ends up resulting in a bit of a drop-off towards the end of games. And I think that is usually punished in the knockout stages, especially by teams that are in the top fire European leagues, for example. So I think that was a big reason. But at the same time, as some of the teams underneath are either, like, from 12 to 16, either have even tougher parts or they've struggled

in Europe or domestically before.

So I think that's potentially why I put them around Levin, but they're still an extremely

tricky fixture, as Liverpool found out earlier this season.

Yeah, there's no easy games as doing the Champions League at this stage. I think it's fair to say. But yeah, it's interesting. Is that sort of drop-off and maybe where they sort of hit a wall in terms of their intensity levels, is that it too simplistic to say? Because when they sort of take a very sort of over-arcing look at their squad, It looks very top-heavy in terms of obviously you've got Noah Lang, Yilmaz, Ossamer, there's goals, there's firepower there. But then when you look a little bit further back, without wanting to sound too disrespectful, it's people that are sort of reaching the twilight of their career and a lot of them have been in the

Premier League and it maybe hasn't worked obviously in Gundaman's case it much definitely did work but

he's at that stage now whereby he probably needs an easier life in simple terms but is that why

maybe they do struggle to last 90 plus minutes and maybe obviously extra time and stuff like that

because of just the overall average age of their squad.
