Man, I'll tell you what,

we got some good news to start this show with today, don't we? I know. So there's, of course,

more serious news in Iran that a small fighter jet was downed. Iran is claiming they shot it down.

Nobody's really confirmed it. Two pilots were missing. According to some media outlets,

one of them has already been rescued.

So we'll be keeping you up to date on the latest with that. But there is good economic news, Scott.

Yeah, this is great. And I kind of wanted to lead off with this because I know you've been worried. You've been bordering on panicking.

A little bit, yeah. Especially with the Iran war going on and everything, gas prices. Well, the U.S. 429 this morning on my way in, David. 429. I know. It's up there, man. And you people in California are going to screw you. It's $7 here. Oh, yeah. Yeah, well, that's just bad policy, though. That's not, you know, I wonder what the national average would wind up being if you excluded California and Oregon and Washington, basically the entire West Coast.

Yeah, I wonder myself that. That's a great question. Because what would it be if there was no tax attached to it? Yeah. There's no state tax attached to it. I wonder. Right. Okay. We can wonder until the cows come home. Doesn't matter. But we did get good news. Yes. The U.S. recorded strong job gains in the month of March. The reading far exceeds

economists expectations. The U.S. added 178,000 jobs in March compared to what were they expecting,

like somewhere like in the ballpark of 70 to 90 or something like that?

I didn't think it was that many even. No, that's a ridiculously low number. So it looks good. I mean, who knows they could be off by a million. We've learned that over the last few years. You know what? It is funny you say that because I heard it coming in this morning, and I'm like, yeah, but they're going to redo this thing. You go, well, we missed or we overcounted, you know, 400,000 people or what.

So White House economist Kevin Hassett was on Fox News talking about what he called the Blockbuster Jobs Report,

and here we go.

You can say that this is an absolute blockbuster number.
