Now right now as I talk and as you listen a bloodbath is taking place in Gaza and

beyond. Now that bloodbath concerns you for two

principal reasons, firstly your humanity, that you should abhor suffering and death imposed

upon your fellow innocent civilians wherever they are.

But secondly, and this is extremely important,

because this bloodbath is happening with the direct complicity and involvement of Western governments.

Even if you were to strip away the power dynamics at play, which would leave you

unable to understand a single thing happening right now.

Our governments do not back or arm Hamas.

They arm and back Israel.

Now, the vast majority of us were disgusted

by the atrocities committed by Hamas

against Israeli civilians.

What we are now seeing as a military superpower unleash unimaginable horror against a strip of land around the size of Washington DC.

A tiny strip of land which has been subjected to a 15 year blockade by land air and sea

a brutal siege which under international law is under occupation with Israel in control of its water food the works.

Now senior Israeli government officials and figures have declared a total siege to cutting off

all electricity water and food. This is collective punishment and that is a legal

under international law. It is a war crime. They are issuing blood curdling threats

to reduce Gaza to a city of Tents, for example. They have ordered Gazans to flee, but it is impossible to flee Gaza. It is the world's largest open-air prison.

Right now, many hundreds of civilians are dying including at least 300 children.
