I'm Jose Negron from D.K. Pittsburgh Sports coming at you from Global Field here in Arlington, Texas,

where the Pirates suffered a serious loss, a 6-1 defeat at the hands of the Texas Rangers here tonight.

A game in which Bubba Chandler was, you know, hit pretty hard, gave up seven hits,

six runs, season high for him in his shortest outing of the season, only going four

innings inside the park home run for Evan Carter, a three-run homer for Corey Seeger.

And not a lot went right for the Pirates here in this one.

Only five hits offensively.

Didn't get a ton of opportunities in terms of scoring runs.

O for three with runners in scoring position.

They did leave seven on base, but Jacob de Grom was just dominant five and two-thirds,

five hits, one run, one walked,

ten strikeouts for him in this one.

And, you know, he's Jacob de Grom for a reason.

Obviously, you know, he's been through the injuries.

He's been, you know, through a lot throughout his career, but he's still Jacob de Grom.

And he showed what he's capable of doing in this one,

you know, limiting that Pirates offense,

weren't able to really do much in terms of providing offense against him.

O'Neal Cruz did hit his eighth home run of the season.

He's now, I believe, tied with six others for second in the National League in home runs.
