Coming to you from Globe Life Field here in Arlington, Texas, the Pirates with a 5-1 loss to the Rangers

in game one of a three game series here in

Arlington and just another night where it's not the Pirates night.

The offense, aside from one run in the first inning, you kind of thought maybe they'd get

going.

They got one run on the first two batters of the game.

O'Neill Cruz breaching on a single, steal second base, gets the third on there.

Ryan O'Hern brings them in.

And that was it.

The offense couldn't get much else going.

Six hits.

They're limited to that one run, one for five with runners in scoring position, six left

on base in this one.

And for a while, it looked like maybe a pitcher's duel.

Kumar Rocker was doing his thing for the Texas Rangers.

Carmen Maginsky kept the pirates within reach through the first four

innings, was looking rather decent.

You know, it wasn't a perfect performance, but kept them within reach in those first

four innings, had six strikeouts in that span. And then in the fifth, things changed, and it

seemed like the defense is what sparked the Rangers in this one. One big play by Evan Carter,

being able to bring a ball back, and Rob O'Neill Cruz of a three-run, home run,
