Summary

Join Shaun as he takes the Trust and Believe podcast to the picturesque island of Mykonos, Greece, for an unforgettable live recording. In this episode, Shaun kicks off the show by delving into the power of journaling about the positive aspects of our lives. While many of us may already have a journal where we document our struggles, Shaun introduces us to the concept of creating a "Book of Good." This transformative practice helps us recognize the greatness within our lives and encourages us to write about the remarkable things that emerge from our personal challenges.

Shaun is joined by his husband, Scott, as they engage with their supportive FitFam and address intriguing questions. The episode covers a range of topics, and questions answered including:

  • Do you remember the moment when you realized it’s ok for me to be my authentic self?
  • With a model background, what makes a good model aside from being good looking?
  • How does Scott manage the “offers” that Shaun receives?
  • How has your view changed being in your 50’s?
  • Did people ever marginalize who you were?
  • How do you go from not being yourself to who you authentically are?
  • What is the one quality that Shaun has that makes Scott live his best life

*Please not the quality of questions asked through this recording is not our usual, so please refer to the questions listed here in the show notes for reference. Scott has also repeated most questions back for clearer context, we apologize for any inconvenience.

But in addition to that, a lot of people know that I do this but I'm going to tell people and

0:57.2

teach people how to journal about good in their lives. Usually something like this I would take

1:03.0

an hour and a half to do but I'm going to do this quick today because I know what happens.

1:06.4

So you all here or maybe people at home, you might have a journal and a lot of times people

1:11.0

write in their journal or their diary, they will write about things that happen in their life.

1:15.8

And I believe that people are more motivated to write about struggle than to write about happy things.

1:20.8

It's like when we're feeling incredible endorphins or we experience joy, a lot of times we hold

1:28.4

onto the memory because it feels really good and people will journal about things that are not

1:33.0

so great. And it's just like oh my gosh I'm going through something after writing something down

1:42.3

the negative things linger and those positive things are like relieving, right? So you kind of remember

1:47.6

it but it doesn't weigh so heavily, it's lighter. The backstory to this is I had a friend one time come

visit me and Phoenix and he was going through a lot in his life, he was like super, super stressed out

2:01.2

and initially he was just going to come and you're like I'm just coming to hang out, you know you
