Welcome to Annie and Ari on three presented by Wendy's. It is time to find out what the penultimate college football playoff ranking will be penultimate. Ari, one of my favorite words, because why not have a nice, elegant one word's way of saying next to last?

I'm kidding.

I was going to let you go like Pollyanna the other day.

So tonight what we find out is as close to finding out who's going to be in the

playoff as possible, right?

I think so.

I think so barring some sort of weird, we just decided to change some things,

but I just don't think they're going to do that.

I think for the most part.

One thing that can change, and it is squarely on South Carolina,

and that is if their win over Clemson turns into an ACC champ win, that's the only circumstance that can change from the teams that are still being in the mix, right? UNLV can beat Boise State, and that may change the seating of certain champions. Oh, I'm not even thinking about that. I'm only thinking about the big debate between the four. You're just talking about who gets in at the very, you know, who's the last at large.

Yes.

But the thing is, there's so much more than that.

There is. You have Army and UNLV and Boise.

That's undecided yet at this point, although one result of a game can clear that up pretty quickly.

And of course, SMU and Clemson are going to teach us or show us how off the rails we get this weekend.

So either way, we're going to.

They're going right into this, Ari, because they have a basketball game at 7.30.

I love that.
