Would you please explain a little bit about general confession and how it differs from regular

confession? Great. And what you do it, that's Christine. Yeah, Christine, that is an excellent

question. So, general confession is something that should be done, especially when you take some

time on retreat and really look and inventory your whole life and examining your conscience

from your earliest memories of conscientiously offending God and doing what you know is not

to be right and just and examining your conscience thoroughly in like a silent retreat, for example.

I've done a general confession as a result of a silent retreat. So, spending five, seven, eight days in silent

retreat and then doing a general confession of one's whole life can be extremely cathartic.

And it's typically done in a retreat format. Some priests open that up through their spiritual

direction channels as well. I did a general confession with you the last time we were here.

Yeah, because I had it, I had it all written down for a couple of weeks, because I read that book by

St. Francis DeSales, which is the intro to the devout life. And I think that's the name of the book.
