I've done a general confession as a result of a silent retreat. So, spending five, seven, eight days in silent

retreat and then doing a general confession of one's whole life can be extremely cathartic.

And it's typically done in a retreat format. Some priests open that up through their spiritual

direction channels as well. I did a general confession with you the last time we were here.
