Stocks close mostly higher. I'm Henry Epp with the Marketplace Minute.

Most US stock indexes climbed ahead of the holiday weekend.

The NASDAQ was up 1 and a tenth percent. The S&P 500 rose 7 7th percent, the Dow was pretty much flat.

Consumers expect inflation to climb a bit slower in the months ahead by 3.3 percent.

That number was revised lower by the University of Michigan, which released final data for its monthly consumer sentiment survey today.

Overall attitudes about the economy fell this month.

A group of customers has filed a class action lawsuit against the event company

Live Nation, which owns Ticketmaster.

The move follows a separate suit by the U.S. Justice Department and a group of states which

aims to break up the company.

The suit's alleged Live Nation has a monopoly over the live events industry.

And the United Auto Workers Union is asking federal regulators to allow workers at a Mercedes-Benz plant in Alabama to vote for unionization again. Workers voted against

the union last week, but the UAW argues the company used unfair tactics to sway employees.
