Yes, I got some gay bullshit this week. Okay, well, I got something spooky. So I'll go first. This one was sent into us from Jessica on Instagram. Uh-huh. Have you heard about this funeral home in New Orleans that's doing extreme and bombing? No. Cool. Well, let me tell you, vice put on an article. This was actually in July of 2018. It was written by a couple of people. and he sat down with an extreme and bombing and Patrick Schoen. And he kind of discussed the whole process. So you might actually be familiar with this whole thing, I guess we should call it. Uh-huh.

Yet do you remember maybe like a year and a half ago when this viral thing came out where a guy at his wake was presented, you know, upright in a chair with like a PS4 controller and a bag of Doritos next to him.

No. No. Well, it happened. It was a guy named Bernard Matthews who was like really tragically killed. Uh, he was shot in New Orleans and at his family's request. And I do believe

Bernard's also. Uh-huh. They went to Patrick Schoen and he did this extreme and bombing situation on Renard. And that's how they ended up presenting Renard at his wake. So it's kind of not unlike death portraits that he used to do in like the Victorian era where they prop you up and take your old bitch of you make you look like you're alive. Yeah, but it's live. That's the thing. So it's for everybody to enjoy it the way. Uh-huh. So it turns out this is actually being done not just by Patrick Schoen. Uh, if first one viral in 2000.

It wasn't eight when somebody in Brazil. I think don't quote me on that. Uh-huh. They were embalmed and presented upright in a boxing ring. Okay. There have been other people since like there was one woman who was a bit of a socialite who was presented at a table with a men's

ball cigarette and a drink and a pair of sunglasses on. Yeah, you know, like just kind of showing how people would have liked to have been shown in their life. Right. They're like ideal scenario. If you could do one thing forever, what would you do?

Exactly. So this is kind of what this practice is. Extreme and bombing allows families to remember past loved ones as they would have known them in life.

It also allows people to kind of choose how they want to be immortalized. Like some of this is done at the request of the person who knows that they are going to be passing. Right.

So it's actually a really empowering thing in that way. Sure. And I always think it's cool when people kind of take charge of, you know, their own death and use

forthocking stuff like that. You know, like, hey, word up death positivity. Yeah, for sure. Like I'm down for a Dorito bar when I go. Yeah, exactly. Oh my God. Yeah, wouldn't you love to be sat

propped up in a reclining chair with a pair of sunglasses and a buffet of Doritos at your feet? Oh, yeah. That'd be godly. Right. And it'd be interactive because people could eat the Doritos.
